This year my kids had so much fun reading, reciting and creating their own poems. Reading poetry is fun, engaging, and challenging. It helps struggling readers with fluency by using repetition and it helps proficient readers with inflection and encourages them to get creative and come up with their own poems. Winter Crafts for Kids: Symmetrical Snowflake Craft
Here's one of our favorite winter crafts for kids~ creating symmetrical snowflakes! Children will be creating symmetrical snowflakes using common craft materials. This snowflake craft would be a great addition to any math lessons on symmetry or patterns!
