Situated left, is the "hero" B9 robot prop, operated by actor, Bob May. While Mr. May provided the physical acting for the robot character, his speaking voice was provided in post production, by voice actor, Dick Tufeld (Bob May's voice was used however, whenever the robot was heard to sing). The other B9 robot was constructed for use as a "stunt double", and was used whenever it was not considered practical or safe to use the "hero"version.
