能面 半成＝般若はんにゃ（＜半蛇？） 嫉妬に狂った女性が「蛇（じゃ）」に変身する途上を写したもので、人間としての嫉妬の限界を表現しています。変身の段階を追って「生成（なまなり）」「半成＝般若」「本成＝蛇」の３面があります。「生成」にはわずかに角がありどちらかといえば醜い表情をもっています。「般若」と「蛇」の造りの違いは「蛇」には鋭く尖った耳があり、口の周辺に鱗状の造形があります。「般若」には彩色から「白般若」「赤般若」「黒般若」がありそれぞれの位で造りが多少異なってもいます。目金具はどの「般若」にも使われますが、上歯にも金具を填めたものもあります。
