Love this drill. Not only does it work on being strong with the hand when you work under the pitch, but it also teaches catchers to position their bodies to be supportive and create leverage, so that the pitch doesn't pull their hand down. When doing heavy ball work, if you don't create a balanced, strong lower body, you will know immediately because you will not be able to catch and stick.
