Kids can make something pretty incredible when they pool their talents.

This was an interesting project to watch as it came together. Kindergarten completed large watercolor resist art pieces. I painted the big black lines and they filled in. I didn't give them specific instructions as to how I wanted them to fill these in, that was left up to them. I wanted to see how they went about the process themselves. Each student was given one page to color with either crayons or colored pencils. They could use any colors or combinations that they wished. When they were all done, they cut out each Collaboration Square. The squares were put on a table and an attempt was made to group them with 3 others of similar colors and style. Not alway easy. Hello, friends! I'm excited to share that the school-wide collaborative my first through fourth grade students created at THE BEGINNING of the school year (yikes!) is finally installed.
