I have seen tons of people using a washing machine tub for a fire pit, so I decided to give it a try. I found a washer on CL for free and ripped it apart for the tub. I still kept the old fire pit frame, just to make sure that no one accidentally touches it. It's working good so far and puts out more heat than the old one did. The holes in the side help with the heat and air flow, plus they look really cool at night.
