We haven’t eaten this classic roll for a long time now, the last one if we remember it right was when we went to a road trip to US and came across Cinnabon. It’s not one of the favourites but today, we knew, we just had to make them. Not cinnamon lovers, neither do hate it. Maybe we just really into breads (desserts & pastries) that include any kinds of cheese, & that’s the favourite part — when glaze & the right hint of sweetness from the buttery-slash-sugary cinnamon collide & yes, we’re… Kinds Of Cheese, Cinnabon, We Remember, Cinnamon Rolls, Pastries, Glaze, Breads, Food Photography, Road Trip

NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY 🍦 . . Who wouldn’t love homemade ice cream in this very hot weather? We used cherries this time, it’s literally so refreshing, it didn’t disappoint us, yay! This is so easy to make using only 3 ingredients. No-churn but it’s so smooth. Will definitely do it again while cherries are still in season. Who here also loves to play with their foods before eating them? We’re guilty of it 🙈 It is strawberry, kiwi, mango & dragon fruit’s (a little bit of everything) schedule to be our after lunch-dessert today. We have to admit it, it’s not everyday we’re in the mood to eat our fruits (at least for some people), so we suddenly thought of someone who made us exactly like this one years back and remembered how fun devouring them in this playful kind of structure. Could you resist? These luscious truffles seem like teasing us. Our main purpose why we started this food blog before was just to document everything we cook/bake when the pandemic made us put ourselves in quarantine. We have a long list of these foods that we haven’t tried making yet. Until we got so inspired by someone who has been so professional in dark food photography. We then tried if we could style and photograph them the way she does. We always compare our works with hers, without… Dark Food Photography, Chocolate Truffles, Eve, Purpose, Stuffed Mushrooms, Cook, Inspired, Baking, Vegetables

A tad late for World Chocolate Day but always remember what they say — better late than never. Haven’t had a chance to create anything chocolate yesterday so we made these truffles today instead. While most enjoy them with toasted hazelnut/almond or coconut, we like ours with just cocoa, that made it classic. It’s our first time working with cocoa powder for an action shot and for us it turned out completely different than what we had pictured in our mind, but here we are still posting some… Chocolate Day, Chocolate Truffles, Always Remember, First Time, Cocoa, Almond, Food Photography, Powder, Action

Macaron de Paris Matcha buttercream filling sandwiched between decadent almond meringue shells. We fell in love with french macarons so we’ve been trying to play around with colours & flavours since the first time we made them decent-looking. It’s a gloomy day today, but it doesn’t mean that it’s not a perfect day for something enticing. New York Cheesecake Finally! A cheesecake! 🙈 It has been on our list since day one of our quarantine baking and we haven’t do it until two days ago. We’re not a cheesecake fan, honestly, but if it’s a New York-style, it’s a different story. We used good ratio of graham-butter for the crust and lots of Philadelphia ‘cream cheese’ to make the filling so dense but still soft and rich. The flavour is so simple, so minimalist — just sweet & tangy. We baked it for an hour, left it inside the… Blueberry Cheesecake, New York Style, Food Styling, Graham, Philadelphia, Food Photography, Oven, Minimalist, Butter

Bonjour! 💕 We’ve been wanting to experience a European-style breakfast so two weeks ago, I tried to make my first ever croissant, but as the saying goes, “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”, I failed with the shape & inside texture, so decided to just eat them 🙈 Making this french bread is not easy, you need to laminate the dough for minimum of three times, it’s the process of folding the butter into the dough for many times to create multiple layers of dough butter dough butter… European Style, European Fashion, European Breakfast, French Croissant, First Ever, Food Photography, Layers, Butter, Bread

My sister & I literally have an organized list where pastries, desserts, breads are carefully scheduled — when to bake such. It’s our way to maximize some of our ingredients that have short shelf life. Supposed to be baked last week but I was not in my proper state of mind. It seemed like I was so affected with something though I was in denial at first. I let my sister invade the kitchen for the past days. My sister’s been requesting pizza for three days now. And since there’s no scheduled dessert for today, we decided to just make something savoury as our Sunday snack. I made the dough while she’s fixing her repotted plants and called her when it’s time to shape them ‘cause it’s more fun when we do it together. She wanted hers ‘fully loaded’, olive oil then her homemade tomato sauce at the bottom, then she put onion, arugula, brie cheese, cherry tomatoes, & sprinkled it with parmesan. My ate @graciepajares & I planned to bake Coffee Caramel Cake two weeks ago, because ‘caramel’ is her dad’s favourite cake/pastry flavour and mine is a coffee lover. And well, apparently, ‘cause this cake is especially for them two. But we needed to change the concept due to oversupply of bananas (my grandma gave us too much 🍌). So my sister just omitted the caramel ‘cause she said it could be overly sweet and also, to prevent flavour overlap.
