*STATUE of the VIZIER HOR: Material: Basalt, Location: Courtyard of the Cachette at Karnak, Excavation: G. Legrains of 1904, Period 22nd Dynasty, c. 945-712 BC) The statue of the Vizier Hor, w/ his let leg folded to the chest while his rt rests on the ground is rather unusual. The form appears sporadically in the Old Kingdom + was sometimes revived during the New Kingdom. However, the style is also documented in various statues after the New Kingdom.
