You can't wait to jump in your favorite swimming spot...but WAIT! Storms or flooding may have changed what is under the water including submerged debris that wasn't there last year. Rocks may have moved, water depth can be deceptive, and currents can change with water levels. Algae on rocks in streams can be surprisingly slippery. Check your swimming area - feet first - walk in and probe the bottom. And NEVER dive in head first until you are sure it is deep enough.
