Stored trauma is any experience that our bodies have not fully processed. The experience gets stuck in suspended memory. Physical, emotional and mental trauma is stored in our cells until it has been addressed and moved out. When our brain is overstimulated during an experience, it is unable to process it and store it in the appropriate spot as a memory. You might think of these unfiled memories as clutter.
