Ladysmith, British Columbia CANADA -- FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS -- is known for its annual Festival of Lights in which the entire commercial sector and many homes are decorated with strings of colourful lights for six weeks in celebration of Christmas. It is also known for its local Summer Celebrations, called Ladysmith Days, which was once one of the premiere logging sports venues in North America before the decline of the logging industry.
Boiling Springs, South Carolina It is known as Boiling Springs because of a small spring in its heart that, up until the land was commercially developed, actually appeared as if it were boiling and would sometimes shoot water into the air. When and the shopping center was built, the springs ceased to boil. After the spring was cleaned up and dug out, a small park was built around it with benches, flags, and a memorial to a citizen of Boiling Springs. The spring has begun to boil again.

Stillhouse provides an excellent resource for activities such as fishing, camping, picnicking, hiking, hunting, camping and swimming. The Corps maintains two excellent parks on the lake: Dana Peak Park and Union Grove.
