The Household Cavalry is divided into two regiments; the Blues and Royals, and the Life Guards. The Blues and Royals, wear blue tunics with red plumes and collars, and was formed in 1968 with the amalgamation of The Oxford Blues and The Royal Dragoons. The Queen is the Colonel-in-Chief, whilst Princess Anne is the Colonel of the Regiment.
