Learning about Air
Learning about air is like magic to kids! We can’t see air, but we know it exists, right? This air science experiment will help kids learn just that! After this introductory lesson you can further kids learning by teaching about atmosphere, air pollution, wind and more! #airscience #scienceforkids
Save the Polar Bears! Winter STEM Challenge
Can you design a boat to save the polar bears? Your mission: A family of polar bears needs your help! Due to climate change, their sea ice home is melting, and we need to move the family to a new location. Use the engineering design process to design and build a boat to carry the polar bears to a new home. Our distance learning and in-person students love this challenge that comes with a digital and printed STEM journal and instructional video.

Antarctica Shelter STEM Challenge - Engineering Design
I LOVE doing dry ice science demos to talk about states of matter and freezing point. Kids often have the misconception that everything freezes at 32*F (0*C). Dry ice also packs the “wow” factor when combined with bubble solution! I also love combining this demo within our Antarctica shelter engineering design challenge. The students learn a lot about Antarctica, insulation, and temperature!
