The Hollywood Hotel. Once located at Hollywood and Highland. Built in 1902 and tragically demolished in 1956 to make way for a First Federal Savings & Loan hi rise. (demolished in 2000). Today the Hollywood and Highland Center occupies this corner. Trivia: Silent screen star Rudolph Valentino was locked out of the bridal suite (room 264) by Jean Acker for hours after they were married in November 1919. Their marriage lasted only 6 hours!
