PLAZA MIRANDA, COLORIZED. An elevated view of Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Manila (reportedly in the 1960s). Note: someone please double-check if this is indeed another view of Plaza Miranda, and at what decade. A good clue would be confirmation of what building that is, in the distance -- and if that building's appearance can also confirm the decade. Thanks! Photo credits: John Tewell (original b&w photo) / colorization by Bilog Bilugan.
Quiapo Church, also known as the Church of the Black Nazarine, was not war damaged. Picture was taken looking north down Quezon Blvd., Manila, Philippines, 1945
With this picture I am experimenting. This is from the original negative of a snapshot taken by an American soldier. I photographed the negative with my camera and then changed the negative image to positive. Please let me know what you think of the picture as viewed on Flickr.
