Sweet home Athena where your skies are so blue...
The Monument of Lysicrates in Plaka, Athens, GR. It is the only surviving choragic monument and one of the earliest sculptures of corinthian order. Monuments such as these were awarded to "choregos" which were chorus leaders for victories in the Dionysia. The first time corinthian order displayed on the exterior was in this monument. In temples such as the Parthenon, the corinthian style was only displayed throughout the interior.
