This photograph of Whitewater Falls in western North Carolina was taken this past Wednesday, after strong thunderstorms roared through the area. I've never seen this much water in this waterfall before. Whitewater Falls is approximately 411 feet high, so it's a pretty spectacular waterfall, but the water levels were just way too high for a good image. The only thing that really saved this at all was the fact that there was mud in the water, which kept the heaviest flow areas from blowing…
